About the journal
The Journal of Interdisciplinary History of Ideas has been founded in 2010 with the aim to:
-
publish high quality, original research works, by scholars of different fields of specialization, based on well established, as on emerging lines of interdisciplinary historical research;
-
promote the study of intellectual history as an intrinsically interdisciplinary object in its genesis;
-
provide a publishing space for studies dealing with the history of ideas from a genuinely interdisciplinary research perspective;
-
provide a regular forum for discussing issues pertaining to the interdisciplinary approach that characterizes the Journal.
The languages of publication are English and French.
All article in PDF can be freely consulted and dowloaded at http://www.jihi.eu/
The JiHi will feature in its main sections substantive articles, shorter research notes, and surveys, requested from or submitted by prospective authors and guest editors. All such contributions will be blind-refereed (double-blind PR), although experimental open peer-review processes are under study. The PR status of each published text is clearly indicated. Being the JiHi an interdisciplinary journal, all submissions will be refereed by two or more peers with different competence. Moreover, since the Journal is located at an Italian university, not more than one Italian reviewer will be appointed in any case.
In accordance with the Berlin Declaration on Open Access, the JiHi supports the Electronic Open Access Paradigm. Every content of the Journal is published online in electronic form, granting to all users a free right of access and reproduction under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 Unported License. After publication, a complete version of each item is deposited in the online repository of the University of Turin (AperTO).
