Linx journal, created in 1978, is published by linguists at the Université Paris Nanterre (ex-Paris X ; ex-Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense).

It is characterised by openness and a desire for dialogue between all currents and schools of language sciences: syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, lexicology, history and epistemology of linguistics, language and cognition, oral linguistics, written linguistics, language acquisition, language didactics, automatic language and linguistic processing, etc.
