Texte intégral
In homage to Dr. Mukwege
“Mummy, what did you do in the war?”
“Well, I got up one night,
Took you into my arms
Then walked right through the door.
We became refugees
Because I didn’t want to
Sleep with the enemy anymore."

“But you were with daddy then
And daddy fought
For our country and our victory.”

“Oh yes.
And you know what –
He really also
Cared about your future,
Gave you a toy gun as a present
And a big hunting knife.
He was a model officer
Who beat everybody,
Including his wife.”
