Call for papers in the VARIA section
The aim of Mise Au Point is to publish research on film, television and new media. All approaches (historical, cultural, aesthetic, economic, sociological, anthropological, media and communications) are welcome; inter-disciplinary research is strongly encouraged.
The journal comes out once a year. Each issue includes a thematic dossier, a varia section and a book review section, edited by members of the editorial committee or by guest editors.
The ‘VARIA’ section contains articles unrelated to the thematic dossier. They can be submitted at any time.
Articles submitted must not be under consideration by another journal and may not have been published elsewhere. Authors agree to give Mise Au Point exclusive rights to their article for the period between submission and publication or rejection by the journal. Articles must be between 5,000 and 8,000 words in length; they may be written in French or in English and they must include a bibliography. Please send articles to the editorial committee, together with a document containing – in French and in English – the name of the author, correspondence details, an abstract, list of key words and a short biography. All articles are peer reviewed blind by two members of the journal’s international editorial committee. Authors are sent a précis of the anonymous reviewers’ reports, with suggestions for modifications within three months of submission. The members of the editorial committee make the final decision regarding publication of articles.
