Quand faire, c’est dire : Confucius et la Rectitude des noms

When doing means saying: Confucius and the Uprightness of words
Gérard Siary and François Vergnaud
p. 65-86

Abstracts

In the Analects, Confucius insists upon the importance of a correct language to promote a fair government according to the rites. This theory finds its best expression in the style of the Chunquiwhere the right choice of words implies deep political and moral statements of past history and shapes a writing pattern for the Confucean thought.
