Décentralisation et territorialisation sanitaire
This folder on the theme Decentralization and territorialisation of health was opened following a one-day seminar organized in November 2015 in Paris as part of the "Health and territories" axis of the International College of Territorial Sciences (CIST) so that French and European researchers, institutional, territorial or health actors are debating how the process of territorialization of health systems is linked to the general process of decentralization.
In a very large number of countries, the reforms carried out since the beginning of the 1990s are part of a general process of decentralization of institutions - associated with a rise in power of the “local” as a space of action with the objective of efficiency health systems. The transformations brought about by the reforms require a better understanding of how the health challenges (for institutions, health actors and users) are put into practice in the territories.
