Even if it is the oldest french review dedicated to romanistic studies, the Revue des langues romanes has all along of its history succeded in taking a fresh look at its own field and in offering original contribution to scientific evolution. Its yearly issue is made of two booklets dedicated to a special subject which may focus on old french, occitan of all periods or general topics related to several romanic literatures and languages. Beginning at the end of the thematical section of the revue, tha varia section deals with more diversified subjects ; here several critical reviews account of scientific progress in romanic languages and literatures.
