Espace et temps : quelles asymétries ?

Edited by Anne Le Draoulec and Dejan Stosic

Both symmetries and asymmetries are inherent to linguistic systems. This volume is devoted to the investigation of two conceptual domains–those of space and time–and more specifically to the description of asymmetries existing between them as well as within each of them. This choice of theme is justified by the fact that the vast majority of studies dealing with relationships between space and time seek to highlight their similarities, whereas those that emphasize their differences are very rare. The contributions brought together here focus on such differences, in an attempt to provide new insights.
