Games, Play and Religion
Edited by Laurent Di Filippo

Despite the fact that the links between games, play and religion have been studied within social sciences at the beginning of the 20th century, this research area have not been developped much during the following decades. Since 2010, these research questions have made a comeback thanks to the growth of video game reseach in the anglo-saxon world. This fifteenth issue of Sciences du jeu offers to contribute the the development of this research domain in the french speaking world, thanks to five articles addressing various games and fields. These works deal with various topics such as the reception of mythological references, moral panics, the place of the religion in fictionnal world building and the uses of games in youth movements.
