The journal Tangence is a place of convergence at the heart of a network comprised of university departments of literary studies and social sciences in Quebec, Canada and abroad. As its name indicates, Tangence proposes to study literature “tangent” to other disciplines. It also focuses on literature’s relations with other fields of knowledge (the arts, social sciences, and the exact sciences), with a view to integrating knowledge through communal discussion.
