This issue of TV/Series is the result of a conference dedicated to non-Western TV Series that took place at INALCO University (The National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations, teaching more than a hundred languages and the corresponding cultures). Its aim was to diversify the study of TV series and to increase awareness toward productions from those areas. By analyzing specific TV series, contributors bring their expertise in order to contribute to a better understanding of their contents, and extend their reflection to contemporary serial works and their reception by local and global audiences in a hyper connected world.
